dennogumi.org was originally created around the second half of 1999, to provide information on the Japanese anime series アキハバラ電脳組 （*Akihabara Denno Gumi*, better known with the title of "Cyber Team in Akihabara"), aired in Japan between 1998 and 1999. It eventually grew enough to be "fairly" popular in its own niche.
